which was really just fine, because she'd asked that before, and she'd asked that when sena dropped by often before, too... except it was different. there was something like a blush on her cheeks, and her voice pitched kinda higher when she said his name, and he could've sworn there was a bit of a sparkle in her eyes that was a little familiar, if only for the fact that he's pretty sure that that was what he'd see in his own if he ever ended up being able to look at tsukasa and a mirror at the same time.

fast forward to now: the world is peaceful in the knights practice room. the walls are clean, the floor is not full of unconscious vampires, and izumi isn't filling the air with complaining as he is wont to do. it's actually... really flippin' empty, save for his target, sitting there, focused. it's calm, and quiet. happy.
