[ when eijun plays well in tournament games, it seems like the sun is shining on earth.
today's one of those days--recolle u's high school team is going to nationals, on the back of sawamura eijun, their ace, and when he plays really well, he's always playing for one person in particular. in the bottom of the ninth, just before he threw the last strikeout of his in-recolle career, he pointed up to the sky, and then out into the crowds at one girl in particular.
and that would be anya. eijun's girlfriend, who he started dating at some point in his junior year, his support (his tutor), his friend, and the girl he's totally crazy about. it took a while for him to actually realize he had a crush on a girl (thanks to the help of kuramochi, who wrestled him into the floor until he admitted it) but it's been amazing ever since.
he's the first one out of the gate when celebrations are over, when coach stops lecturing them about the mistakes he made, and he's running, full tilt past press and interviewers, still wearing his stupid shoulder ice pack to rest his arm and yelling-- ] Anya, Anya--!!
