[ . . . comparatively speaking, this world was a bit mundane.

Perhaps that's why there are rumors of a cosplayer wandering around the shopping complex where Evan works, as Jae-ha peers in through the shops to try to find him. He'd been able to figure out that he could be found around here - an exchange of letters helped with that much - but the problem is that Jae-ha sure does stand out.

Still, he'll act like everything has gone Completely According to Plan as he finally finds Evan and smiles - ]

Ah - there you are!

[he tried]

[Luckily, his shift is ending when Jae-Ha finds him; he's walking out of the store, backpack in hand, and he stops in his tracks when he realizes who's speaking to him.

In most other situations, he might be more caught off guard or embarrassed by someone in the kind of clothing Jae-Ha is wearing. As it is, though, with how worried he was about whether he would really be able to see anyone from the castle... Any self consciousness he might feel is immediately overshadowed by a swell of relief.

For a long moment, he only stands and stares. They wrote letters, but it's different to have him really here in the flesh. Several seconds go by, before:]

...You came.

[It might be obvious, but all the same.]

[alttitude]

[ . . . that kind of reaction manages to make Jae-ha laugh faintly. Not a mean sound, but rather something between a little tired and very fond.]

Did I ever give you a reason to doubt that I would? I could be offended...

[But he's not. Rather he shakes his head and approaches easily, reaching out to ruffle Evan's hair affectionately even as he smiles. It might have been a while, but there's no need for him to hesitate.]

I made it. Sorry for the wait.

[selfinserting]

[He blinks after a moment, realizing what he's just implied by what he's said, and quickly shakes his head.]

Oh, no, I didn't mean that, um, that I thought you wouldn't come. I just meant... that it's, it's really good to see you.

[And as such, he lets out a small, only slightly nervous laugh when Jae-Ha reaches out to ruffle his hair, trying to dodge only after he's succeeded in making contact.]

It wasn't, wasn't too long. [Even if it was... It's been well worth it. Either way, more importantly:] How have, have you been?

[alttitude]

[ . . . look, he doesn't really want to scare Evan with how he's been - because even if Jae-ha is very capable on most days, he's had more than a few scrapes since the last time they met. He laughs faintly and just manages lightly:]
