and tonight, he's in the office quite late. usually, this time of the month, he either manages off or simply works around it in a fashion that no one suspects anything. a near religious control of himself is what he needs - meditation, days to relax, and in the worst circumstances, medicine that's stronger than a mic. nothing in his system that would push his mind out of his hands.
but he's stayed too long. everything he needs is at home, and it'll be impossible to get back with his eyes shut. he could call, but that runs the risk of having to explain his own condition. and no one, in all his years, has properly pinpointed what's wrong.
making a quick decision, he locks the front door of the clinic and retires to the back. if he's alone, this'll be easy. painful, but since when was it not? checking his phone for the time, he's going to try to do paperwork until the buzzing under his skin becomes too much. if he's going to claim he simply had too much work to do, it better look convincing after all.

[Hifumi hasn't noticed any calendar, or anything strange going on, or even the apparent schedule that Jakurai keeps. Even now, his presence is an accident. He holds a super duper dead phone in his hands as he slumps against the front door of the clinic. His shoulder presses against it even as his hand continues to weakly knock.
There's champagne still buzzing through his veins, making it hard for him to think of quick alternatives, and for now even if it's possible that Jakurai might not even be here, Hifumi whines.]
