unfortunately the city is never that kind and he instead resists the urge to groan. he just closes his eyes instead and sighs, a sort of. embarrassed smile pulling at his lips. )

( it wasn't that drastic. he would not have frozen to death then just like he won't now. but when you're cold, every second feels like that. thankfully he doesn't feel cold at all now, which is probably just a mental effect from holding her hand but it sure is working. )

I think I'd been shoveling for a while at that point—I almost couldn't feel my hands. Um, it's not like people just ignored me or anything— or that they just, you know, asked me to help out without asking if there was anything they could get for me... It probably just didn't cross their mind.

( ...and tsukasa is a doormat who can't say no to people older than him. it's still kind of a problem. well, except goro. he can say no to goro. )
