there is no way to alter certain courses of history when jeanne returns from the realm. to save her world, she set her life ablaze for what she felt was right, a sacrifice so people could continue to live and die with free will instead of exist as a soul.
even if it's against fate, some preordained future, or the fabric of her world, once her duty is done, she leaves the throne of heroes. she must free a homunculus from his guard duty before she can go where her role no longer keeps her. she takes the magic of the holy grail so it can no longer harm anyone and so she can go wherever she pleases.
for once, she lets her heart win, and she can only hope time moves differently between worlds. even if she has a habit of leaving people waiting, she doesn't want them to wait too long—even if they now have all the time in any world.
when she finally arrives in kouka, she looks for where a king would be first, but ultimately, it is the cry of a familiar falcon that guides her like the north star. the sight of him takes her breath away, for how long it's been for her. seeing soo-won brings a sheen to her eyes and a bright smile she can't stop.
she doesn't run to him, even if her heart is leaping to, because she doesn't know if he's still king, and what king, no matter how skillful and battle ready, would be unguarded? ]
