Now as a saniwa, Lili's responsibilities are many. She likes to keep herself just as busy as her swords, otherwise it's just not fair! However given just how busy she keeps herself, it's probably not a surprise that some things still manage to slip through the cracks.
But you know what does come as a surprise?
This mistletoe that's hanging right at the doorway of her bedroom. She's managed to procure a magazine - Midare always has so many - that she's hoping will be able to decode the source and purpose of this plant. Is it medicinal? Is it for good luck? Is it a ward of some sort?
She'll be switching between glaring up at it and flipping through the magazine confusedly, so distracted that she's forgotten entirely that she called Kashuu to talk about an entirely different matter.]

As a very loveable dog, Makkachin has none of the reservations humans do, trotting over to Yuuri's room when Yuuri himself isn't there. The door's left open just enough for Makkachin to squeeze through. When Viktor goes looking for him later, he'll find Makkachin curiously nosing at the many posters he's pulled out from under the bed.]

.... Oh.
[Jaaaackpot.
They're at the point where Viktor thinks that Yuuri's room is his room, naturally. Yet he's never actually bothered to go rifling through his things - but that's what friendly dogs are for. All of these posters are so lovingly familiar and he can't help but smile as he lets his fingers peruse through them thoughtfully, his smile becoming more and more pronounced and amused with each new paper.
How cute.
Hence why he's humming out in a loving sing-song:]
Oh Yuuuuuri!
[You should be afraid of that tone, Yuuri.]

Ice skating.
Now Sakon's a little gifted with his balance (for the understatement of the century) and he gave this a few turns before so that he didn't make himself look like a total fool in front of pretty girls, but he's also probably not in any place to be teaching anyone.
And yet, here we are.
He holds onto Vietnam's hands even as his laugh fogs up into the air, his grin warm despite the chill out.]

With each passing letter, the anxiety worsens.
Until the last one breaks her heart entirely.
The other swords try to convince her to continue her duties - and she does, to the bare minimum so that the citadel can still function - but Lili has always been wildly emotional.
Without hesitation, she waits for Imano's return at the entrance of their home. Other swords bring her blankets as she waits through the evening, leave tea for her to sip as the day passes before her eyes, but none can convince her to go to her room or attend to other business.
For her, there is nothing more important than welcoming Imano home.]

They managed to grab some sleds from somewhere - Sakon's luck turns up in the weirdest of places - and then managed to trek up the tallest, steepest hill that Sakon could manage to find in town. Because when you're an amateur, that sounds like the best of all possible ideas, right?
Right.
So Sakon's sitting on his sled, bouncing a little precarious (like he'll take off at any second), and giving a grin that doesn't at all imply that this is a bad idea.
It is.]

He's about as Team Valor as you can fucking get, but it's okay, he's not a huge battlehead. Rather, he's just excited to play this game with everyone he knows - which just so happens to be his trusty Green. So sorry about your sleep or... whatever the fuck you were doing Midori, Chiaki's got his sunny as shit death grip on your arm and is proceeding onward.]

iM FINALLY HERE DANA
THAT I HAVE SOO-WON???? basically tag me with ur best girl OR BEST BOY!!! subject soo-won to lili or idol shenanigans (ALL THOSE PRETTY BOYS ARE IDOLS RIGHT?? except sakon and victor i think sweats)
LMFAO WELCOME, YAYWON
But here's the thing: Lili didn't venture out of the Water Tribe territory very much and though she came to Kouka maybe once or twice, she's a little bit unsociable. As such, she never really left the room that she was staying at in the castle very often because that might mean running into... y'know.
Other humans.
Not very desirable.
Except now she's trying to dodge away from Ayura and Tetora's watchful gaze so she can do some investigating on her own - again, like that hasn't gone badly every time - and she's found herself a little... lost. Yet she's also hiding behind the pillars at any given sound - but what she doesn't expect is to bump into another body just as she's trying to make another quick dash to find the exit.]
Ah, excuse—!
[And then she realizes who she's talking to.]
Oh, it's just you.

it's been 5 months
Major discomforts though. Those, he could verbalize.]
It's been ten minutes and you still haven't untied our ankles, Sakuma.
[The Two-Legged race they'd opted out of had already ended and yet here they were, joined ankles dangling between two chairs as if in commemoration.]
At this point, you're just gloating over the fact that we allowed ourselves to quit the race. Though it's true it's not unlike you to make a nuisance of yourself, I'd appreciate it if you didn't involve me. [It ruins his image. Switching hands with the water bottle, he extends a hand towards the small dish of lemons resting on a folding table on the other side of Rei.] Pass me one of those.
stop it's finally happening
You couldn't let an old man get some rest after all that he's been through today?
[While Keito might have some problems with the lawn chair, it's suiting Rei just fine. He's reclined contentedly, even had his eyes closed and arms crossed in front of his chest like he was ready to sleep. Given the time of the day and intensity of the sun, there's a good chance that's what was about to happen.
Yet he opens one eye at Keito's request, glancing over to where the hand is gesturing to - lemons? well, okay - and then
Shutting again promptly with a soft hum.]
Underneath this sun I don't think I could lift even another finger... Whether it's the lemons or the rope tie, if you really wanted to, you could handle both yourself, couldn't you?
[don't make him cross over you rei that's rude]

Lili
is this dumb enough
You're kidding, right?
[Here she is, pillow in hand, staring down a pillow fort that had already been constructed in front of her. There's a lot of squinting and judgment going on here, but that's what happens when you're a girl who doesn't even have a single clue about how to have fun.]
What even is it?
[lili please.]

But alright, check this out. It's a beautiful day at the beach, the sun is shining, the ocean is roaring, and the breeze is refreshing. It's a great day for business if you work at a snack shack - and today, Chiaki is doing just that.
Except another part of working is carrying a ton of floaties, inner tubes, and god knows what else. Chiaki, a determined, able-bodied young man, does not believe in the idea of making two trips to carry all of this. So we've got a precarious Leaning Tower of Floaties situation as he's trying to see around his tall tower of beach toys in his arms, but well...]
Ahh, excuse me, excuse me!
[For some reason, he's still running.
Why is that, Chiaki.
Why.]

Anya is rather agreeable in most things and so when conversation drifted to ideas on how to stay warm, and then how good hot chocolate is, and then the decision made to look for the best hot chocolate that the town had to offer, she certainly wasn't about to say no. It's a walk through the town on a chilly enough winter day - but she still can't help but feel like it's still nothing compared to Russia and Hokkaido.
Still, the wind picks up and she's left giggling softly in the face of it, exclaiming softly in Russian:] Chilly!
[Then a moment before she turns to Yamamoto with a smile. Switching back over to her gentle and simple Japanese.]
It is cold, yes? If you need to borrow a jacket, please tell me!
[Nevermind that she is Very Small and he is Not So Much. Still, she's entirely earnest in her offer. It is important for her warm friends to stay warm, she thinks!]
no subject
but anya's different. she's very nice and very cute and has gone along with his hot chocolate quest with hardly any protest. that's more than he could say for anyone else, really. ]
Haha, I feel like I should be the one saying that! [ she is indeed very small and he is very tall, but he's sort of built like a portable space heater anyway. he walks a little closer when another breeze picks up, just enough for their shoulders to brush. ] But you're kinda used to this weather, yeah? I bet it's nothing compared to Russia.

give me the cute russian princess
but that's in the past and things are different now. he'd survived the last semester of high school and they're all gearing up for winter break. he's never particularly liked the cold, but he does enjoy christmas despite riku's reservations on it. what throws him for a loop is the secret santa exchange the class decided to do last minute and he somehow manages to draw anya's name out of the bag. he has no idea what to get her, much less girls in general, but after consulting a few others (namely just namine), he settled on something hopefully useful.
it's lunch time when he sneaks back into the classroom, glancing around to make sure the coast is clear before going the rest of the way in. he carefully leaves the gift beneath the christmas tree, attaching the name tag to the ribbon before making his exit. what he doesn't account for is his foot getting snagged on the power cord while he stands up again, and the ensuing graceless fall is narrowly avoided by a well-timed dodge roll. too bad he ends up sort of colliding with a stray chair.
hopefully no one heard that loud clatter from the hallway. ]
no subject
now of course Anya isn't very good at handling accidents, she's always well-meaning but fairly ill-equipped to handle them, but her feet guide her forward anyway. Upon entering the classroom, she's blinking in confusion at the astray power cord and the toppled chair and the fallen body—]
Riku!
[so here we are, she's quickly going to fall to her knees besides him, reaching her hand out as her fingers brush aside his hair as if looking for a bump. in her distress, she ends up questioning him in Russian first, which probably doesn't help the confusion.]
What happened? Ah - um. I mean... Are you okay? Injured?
